Associated Press
Bill Lee, a well-regarded jazz musician who accompanied such artists as Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel and Harry Belafonte as well as scoring four of his son Spike’s early films, including the hit “Do the Right Thing” and two songs for “Jungle Fever,” has died. He was 94.

'Turn around, don’t drown': 4 dead after driving into Oklahoma flood waters

Four people died over the weekend after driving into floodwaters in Oklahoma. Firefighters in Moore and Foyil rescued several others, including a woman trapped in a creek that was up to 10 feet deep. Officials are urging drivers to never enter flooded roads, as even a foot of rushing water can carry away vehicles. With more rain expected, first responders stress the importance of the message: “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”

Woman, 7-year-old child identified after car swept away by floodwaters near Leonard

Officials say the car was attempting to cross a low bridge near Leonard when it became submerged in high water. Two people were rescued, but a 46-year-old woman and her 7-year-old child could not escape the car.
